Sharing.

Sharing is caring.
And so we blog.
We share our photos, our useless thoughts, other people's useless thoughts when we just cannot be bothered to draw up the necessary originality to write something of our own...
Or sometimes we pretend to be something we arent to the people who dont know us from anyone else with a keyboard and the ability to use it.
Que meaningless rant?

Why do we all have to care so much? Why is it wrong to care so little? Why couldnt we have done bioethics instead of environmental ethics?
Why do people feel to need to drunkenly call in the middle of the night? And why do we struggle to hang up from those people?
Why do some people not seem to be able to cope as well as others? Why can some fight, while the soil breaks the fall of others around them? Why do we fit into the group we take place in?
Why do we strive to find this place we feel comfortable? What is comfortable? What is normal? What is healthy? What can we be blamed for?
Can we be blamed for putting ourselves first after such a period of neglect? Can we be blamed for shutting things out we know we cant deal with? Can we be blamed for wanting more? Can we be blamed for letting things take their course?
Where do you draw your lines? Where do you draw the line for others? Are the lines in the same place? Who has the greater advantage? What do our lines say about us?

I think all I have done is successfully made myself confused and made my apparent mental mind and inability to concentrate on one topic for an extended amount of time known to anyone who reads this.
Better luck next time?

He is a magician from Sydney.
And here he is with Damian Walshe-Howling. That is Benji from the Melbourne Underbelly.

He reminds me of someone I know.

Keith...

Look, I know it MAY be Jesse McCartney, but we all need to watch 'Keith'.
We need to man up and accept that while he is annoying when he is 17, blonde and singing, we love him playing an angsty, oh-so mysterious chem lab partner who we all need to jump.
I had no idea the boy could act, and well I might add, though I may, just maybe, be in love with his character.

I need a Keith.

Sure, it's not the smartest thing to watch when a) you are already upset and b) you're about to go to sleep listening to The Hazards of Love in full, ending in the tragic demise of William and Margaret, but that's what I just did. Best decision all week.

Sure, the environment they are in is less than desirable, the overdone American high school scene, but I can get past all of the plot faults, superfluous characters and cliched teenage angst and issues, purely because Jesse McCartney has managed to produce such a lovable, quirky character. I don't know, maybe I am just a sucker for weird eccentric guy in the corner.. Honestly, who doesn't want a boy who picks you up at 4am, only to visit multiple houses, ending up in a cafe where you orphan Salvo's bowling balls leaving a note asking someone to find them good homes.

The standard has been set, it will never be met, but I can dream.

One thing that made me love this movie so much, was that i watched it after coming home from seeing Valentines Day, I got told it didn't have a completely soppy plot, I was deceived. Keith, alternatively, ends on a depressing note, something I haven't seen done so well since Van Sant's Gerry.

Conclusion, Jesse McCartney can act (better than most singers who attempt it when their careers fall flat), this movie is brilliant in plot and Keith's character development (though I loved him from his first appearance), I need to stop watching movies and do something productive and I need a Keith.

Gone Away

So much effort on something that means so little.
In the mean time;

"Far away you've gone, and left me here
So cold without you, so lonely dear
May June July I count the time
Every minute I go takes the smell of your clothes
Further away'

Cause you've gone away
Where there isn't a telephone wire
Still I wait by the phone
You don't even write to say goodbye
Goodbye

I have saved every piece of paper
Like grocery lists and note cards
To do lists and race scores
So just in case you change your mind
And come back, I've kept everything safe

While you're gone away
Where there isn't a telephone wire
Still I wait by the phone
You don't even write to say goodbye

Get me out get me off
Get me out get me off
Oh this is a ride going nowhere
But somewhere that I despise
Going nowhere to end up with a tearful
I don't wanna go on with these pieces of paper
That you left behind
This is a ride going nowhere
But somewhere that I despise
Going nowhere to end up with a tearful
I don't wanna go on with these pieces of paper
To keep me company in my old age

While you're gone away
Where there isn't a telephone wire
Still I wait by the phone
Why don't you write to say goodbye
Goodbye"

Shara Worden is God.
That voice, those lyrics, amazement. Hero. Life Idol.

My Girl Crush.

When I grow up, I want to be Peaches.

Who needs to be conventionally pretty when you have a 'pussy light' to hypnotise the crowd with?
Oh, and her guitarist is hot.

Yeah, so what?

So it's fine. I am the last one left.
Suck it up Princess. There are worse things.
Or take it into your own hands?
Nah.

"yeah, you have medicinal prospects.
try and pick someone up my telling them you have nutritional benefits.
then wink.
and see how they respond." - Thankyou my dear, you make my night.

Girl crush; Peaches.

Yeah, already over it. That was quick.

What I'm NOT over though, however, is the amazingness of being at the wheel of a speedboat. Give me some of that over candy ANY day.

Oh dear.

I had a rather large blog written, and when I was going to hit post, just hovering over the publish button, I went back and deleted it. I highlighted and deleted it all.

Question of the day; Does the fact that people take to solving other peoples issues with more emotional attachment than they would their own problems make them loving and selfless, or deflecting? Hmmm.

Quote of the day; "Say drugs! People will think you're cooler! OH SNAP! I said "cooler" instead of "cool", ACCIDENTAL COMPLIMENT FOR YOU!"*

*Dont expect this as a daily thing.

Because she told me to.

I have a friend.
She told me I should, but only when I am frustrated - I am "more amusing" that way.
And so it is birthed.

George Clooney from the left.
Dirty Projectors from the right.
Too much noise from no direction at all.
Drinking water through a straw in a coke glass.

"Kids in my band are getting onto new stuff and I think I might go along. They take me oh so far away from any place that looks like home. And never let me go."
Too appropriate?
